Francis E. Shiner, 75, of Quakertown, formerly of Lower Saucon Township, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Township. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Grogg) Shiner. He was born in Allentown on Jan. 21, 1941 to the late Marvin and Estella (Hilbert) Shiner. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during peacetime. Francis worked as a pattern maker at the former Bethlehem Steel for 32 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township.

Children: F. Scott (Sharon) Shiner of Bath, Wendy Sue (John) Pepkowski of Quakertown; siblings: Marvin Shiner of Whitehall, Mary Lou Tretter of Whitehall, Elizabeth Berger of North Catasauqua; grandchildren: Shana Kruppenbacher and Justyna Pepkowski.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
