Their alleged caper was undone, however, by the fact that they also discarded the receipt for some of the items they purchased from a local supermarket onto the lawn of the home they targeted, according to authorities.

The group–which allegedly included two 16-year-old boys, one 15-year-old boy and Quinn Cosgrove, of the 2000 block of Pleasant Drive, Lower Saucon Township–was apprehended after the victim of the egging/fruiting provided officers with a time-stamped receipt from a local Giant supermarket, which police said was used in conjunction with store surveillance footage to ID the suspects making a purchase.

“The victim…was able to identify the males as fellow students from the Saucon Valley School District,” police said.
