Richard R. Hawk, 84, of Lower Saucon Township, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill.

Richard R. Hawk, 84, of Lower Saucon Township, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late Vivian D. Hawk, who died Jan. 31, 2014. He was born in Easton on Dec. 3, 1931 to the late Milton and Gertrude (Miller) Hawk. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Richard was a supervisor at Artistic Glass Products, Trumbauersville for many years until retiring, and previously at General Electric, Allentown. He was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township, and a communion assistant. Richard had also been a custodian at Christ Lutheran Church, Hellertown for many years.

SURVIVORS

Loving son: Richard R. Hawk II (Elizabeth) of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Richard III, Jordan and Evan; brother: William of Bethlehem; cherished nieces and nephews.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3233 Apples Church Road, Bethlehem. The Thursday calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3233 Apples Church Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
