‘Vet Fest 2016’ Will Celebrate, Honor Service, Sacrifices of Local Veterans

A new event that will celebrate and honor the service and sacrifice of U.S. veterans from all branches of service and theaters of conflict will be held Saturday (11 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.), July 16-17, at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.

A new event that will celebrate and honor the service and sacrifice of U.S. veterans from all branches of service and theaters of conflict will be held Saturday (11 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.), July 16-17, at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.

Vet Fest 2016 is being planned by Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club’s Lehigh Valley Chapter, which hopes for it to become an annual event.

The planned highlights include live entertainment, raffles, refreshments, vendors and much more, with a Poker Run kicking things off on Saturday.

Nam Knights of America MC is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization that donates 100 percent of the funds it raises to community causes with a focus on veterans, police officers and their families in times of need.

The Bethlehem-based Lehigh Valley Chapter was founded in 2003.

There are presently over 62 chapters and 1200 members in 16 states and two Canadian provinces, whose mission is “to honor the memory of American veterans and police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, to assist veterans, police officers and their families in their time of need (and) to promote community awareness through sponsorship and participation in various community and fundraising events throughout the Lehigh Valley.”
