Lower Saucon Township Police said Saturday that a Hellertown man was injured in an accident Thursday morning at Rt. 378 and Black River Road.

Lower Saucon Township Police said Saturday that a Hellertown man was injured in an accident Thursday morning at Rt. 378 and Black River Road.

In a news release police said Brian Morykan, 49, of the 100 block of W. Clark Street, rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Palmerton man that was stopped at a red light.

Morykan’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene and he was transported by Dewey EMS to St. Luke’s University Hospital following the 7:25 a.m. crash, police said.

He was cited for “Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed” under the PA motor vehicle code, authorities added.
