Hellertown Police announced charges including underage drinking against an 18-year-old Bethlehem woman and two teen girls in a news release Monday.

Hellertown Police announced charges including underage drinking against an 18-year-old Bethlehem woman and two teen girls in a news release Monday.

According to police, Gilda Martinez, 18, of the 1200 block of Wellington Road, was stopped while driving in the 1000 block of Second Avenue at 1:19 a.m. May 28, after an officer allegedly observed littering take place.

Martinez and two female (minor) passengers “were found to be intoxicated,” police said.

Martinez was charged with DUI, underage drinking and littering; the front seat passenger was charged with littering and underage drinking; and the rear seat passenger was charged with underage drinking, police said.
