Meet the Lower Saucon Police During National Night Out Aug. 2

An annual national initiative designed to bring police and fire company volunteers and the residents they serve and protect together will be held on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 2 in Lower Saucon Township.

An annual national initiative designed to bring police and fire company volunteers and the residents they serve and protect together will be held on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 2 from 6:20 to 9:40 p.m. in Lower Saucon Township.

During 2016 National Night Out, police and fire company members will visit several different neighborhoods with their equipment, and residents are invited to come out, say hello and get to know them better.

According to the National Association of Town Watches, “National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community
partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.”

Note: The following times are approximate.

6:20 to 7:20 p.m.
-Police and fire equipment will be parked in the area of Arden Lane.
-Lower Saucon Township Police Department Bike Officers will ride through the Society Hill/Four Seasons area and the Woodfields area.

7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
-Police and fire equipment will be parked by the clubhouse at Society Hill.
-Bike Officers will ride through Steel City and the Saucon Valley Terrace area.

8:40 to 9:40 p.m.
-Police will be at the Steel City Volunteer Fire Co.
-Bike Officers will ride in the area of Old Philadelphia Pike, Deer Run, Victor and Viola Lane.
