Worship Service at HS Stadium Will Commemorate 9-11

A September 11 Worship Service commemorating the anniversary will be held by the Hellertown Area churches. The community is invited to join them in thanking God for the sacrifices made by first responders and saying a prayer for peace in our world.

Sunday is the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that forever changed both America and the world.
A September 11 Worship Service commemorating the anniversary will be held by the Hellertown Area churches. The community is invited to join them in thanking God for the sacrifices made by first responders and saying a prayer for peace in our world. The special service will feature combined church choirs.
The service will be held at 1 p.m. in the Saucon Valley School District Stadium on Polk Valley Road.
In case of rain, it will be held in the high school gym.
The service will be held after the 9/11 Memorial Stairclimb and silent parade of local fire and emergency vehicles from Dewey Fire Co. up Constitution Avenue to the school district campus (around 12:15).
Following the parade the emergency vehicles and apparatus will remain on display at the school district campus until approximately 2 p.m.
