Both Drivers Were Drunk in 2-Vehicle Crash at Main, High Streets, Police Say

In a seemingly remarkable coincidence, Hellertown Police say both drivers involved in a 2-car collision that occurred at Main and High streets just before midnight Sept. 17 were allegedly intoxicated at the time.

In a seemingly remarkable coincidence, Hellertown Police say both drivers involved in a 2-car collision that occurred at Main and High streets just before midnight Sept. 17 were allegedly intoxicated at the time.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said Cheryl Ann Evans, 53, of the 2000 block of Scenic View Lane, Lower Saucon Township, was southbound on Main Street when she allegedly failed to stop for a red light at High Street and struck a vehicle driven by Ronald Edward Isparis, 54, of the 1500 block of Ravena Street, Bethlehem.

Police said Isparis was traveling eastbound on W. High Street at the time.

According to the news release from police, both drivers are now facing DUI charges as a result of the accident.
