The new fire truck purchased for Lower Saucon Township Fire Rescue #16 (Se-Wy-Co and Southeastern volunteer fire companies) has arrived, the township announced Tuesday.

The truck was built by Spartan ERV in Brandon, S. Dakota and will be brought to the township building Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. for a public showing before the 7 p.m. council meeting.

Members of the public are invited to drop by and have a look at the vehicle, which was receiving its decals and lettering Tuesday.

The truck will also be one of many local fire and emergency vehicles in Sunday’s Saucon Valley Spirit Parade in Hellertown.

See below for a video of a demonstration of the truck’s lighting.
