Note: The following letter is by Culinary Experience & Catering owners Nick and Nikki Sandt and was written in response to the turnout they had at their dinner at Hellertown American Legion Post 397 on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Culinary Experience dinners will be held at the Legion in the future on the second Wednesday of the month. The Legion is located at 935 Main St., Hellertown, Pa.

If you were part of the overwhelming crowd who showed up to the first Wednesday Night Dinner at the American Legion Post 397 in Hellertown, you probably had to wait a bit for your food. We are truly sorry that you had to wait. We were not prepared for the large amount of people who decided to join us.

That being said, we have corrected our approach to Wednesday Night Dinners and are treating each month like a catered party or large event. Our catering team will be on hand to assist and help you with the same efficiency and courtesy that you will receive when attending any of our weddings or large parties.

In almost four years of presenting this dinner every month, we never had the support and attention we have received at our new home, American Legion Post 397 in Hellertown. We thank every one of you and are truly sorry for any long wait time you had for your first dinner experience.

December’s dinner will be a Christmas-themed dinner with festive butlered appetizers, a fresh Steamship Ham Carving Station and lots of layers of flavor! We promise you will not wait or have any trouble filling your bellies and getting back home in a very timely manner! December’s dinner will be $12 per person and include lots of holiday options. Our January dinner will feature New Year’s Pork and Sauerkraut, salads, sides and appetizers. Tickets for that dinner will be back down to the normal $10 per person price.

We are sorry for any inconvenience last Wednesday, and we hope to see you all on Dec. 14, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. for December’s Wednesday Night Dinner at the Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, 935 Main St., Hellertown, Pa.

Tickets are available for purchase at the American Legion bar and–starting Monday–through the Culinary Experience website.
