Edward P. Gad, 69, formerly of Hellertown, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 at Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. He was born in Fountain Hill on Sept. 18, 1947 to the late Edward W. and Jean A. (Heidecker) Gad. Edward served our country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked at Hellertown Manufacturing for 9 1/2 years. Prior to that he did various laborer jobs his entire life. He loved animals and Harleys and enjoyed working on cars.

Sister: Judy A., wife of Steve M. Hanner of Center Valley; nephew: Ronald E. Weaver of Steel City.
SERVICE
A private graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
