Elk Killed at Lehigh Valley Game Preserve, Police Say

Pennsylvania State Police at Bethlehem said in a news release Sunday that they are investigating the intentional killing of an elk at Lehigh Valley Game Preserve.

Pennsylvania State Police at Bethlehem said in a news release Sunday that they are investigating the intentional killing of an elk at Lehigh Valley Game Preserve (Trexler Nature Preserve), 5050 Game Preserve Road, North Whitehall Township.

The news release indicated that the protected animal’s remains were found at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, and that the killing occurred sometime during the previous 24 hours.

Anyone with information about the elk’s killing is asked to contact PSP at Bethlehem at 610-861-2026 and reference incident # PA 2016-93914.

The case is being investigated as an animal cruelty case.
