A Lower Saucon Township is facing charges after police say he allegedly used his mother’s bank card and car without her permission.
In a news release Saturday, police said a warrant on charges of access device fraud and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was issued for Patrick Zimmermann, of the 3700 block of Old Philadelphia Pike, after his mother reported to police Thursday that he “took her vehicle and bank card without permission to go buy drugs.”
Police said it was “later determined he withdrew $40 from Lorraine Zimmermann’s account.”
The following day, when officers attempted to serve Patrick Zimmermann with the warrant shortly before 3 p.m., police said he ran out the back door of his home and into a wooded area.
After officers tracked Zimmermann down, they placed him under arrest, patted him down and found “two syringes and needles” in one of his coat pockets, a news release said.
Zimmermann was later committed to Northampton County Prison on the charges he was already facing and an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
