A tanning salon on Main Street in Hellertown is closed until further notice, according to a sign taped to its front door.
Oasis Sun Spa, 1057 Main St., advertised new winter hours on Facebook at the end of January.
“Attention to our faithful clients…bare (sic) with us as new hours will start 01/26/2017,” the post said. It indicated the business would be open Monday to Friday, noon to 5 p.m., until spring.
However, sometime earlier this month, a handwritten sign which cites “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for the closure was taped to the inside of the door.
A message sent to the business’s Facebook account requesting information went unsanswered, and there is no recorded voicemail message about when Oasis Sun Spa may reopen.
A “for rent” sign outside the entrance to the salon is for a second-floor apartment.
