Kolosky’s Panthers are Hot to Trot

Tuesday afternoon all Saucon Valley contests were postponed except for the Track meet at Palisades. The show did go on, but due to the poor field conditions the PIAA referee decided to cancel the discus and javelin events. Nonetheless, it turned out to be a great day for some spirited high school competition.

Ā The show did go on, but due to the poor field conditions the PIAA referee decided to cancel the discus and javelin events. Nonetheless, it turned out to be a great day for some spirited high school competition.

Note: Ā The original Girls’ score between Saucon Valley and Northwestern Lehigh from last week was reported as 75.5 to 74.5 in favor of Saucon Valley. Ā However, after an inquiry filed by the Northwestern Lehigh coaches and athletic director the score was revised late Monday to 76.5 – 73.5 in favor of Northwestern Lehigh. Consequently, the Lady Tigers are now 2-0 and the Lady Panthers drop to 2-1.

The Saucon Valley Panther track and field athletes will be back in action on Thursday, April 6 when they host the Northern Lehigh Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. Ā Northern Lehigh’s Boys and Girls both hold a 1-2 record. Ā Of course, the forecast is currently calling for thunderstorms on Thursday so……..stay tuned!
