A former employee of a Hellertown dermatology practice forged prescriptions while he was employed there, borough police said in a news release Tuesday.

According to police, Michael J. Harrah, 38, of the 100 block of Cattell Street, Easton, has been charged with three ungraded misdemeanor counts of Fraudulent Administration, Dispensing, Delivery or Gift of a Controlled Substance.

Police said the investigation of Harrah began in January, which is when his employment at Shine DermaSpa & Pamela L. Meyer, D.O., in Hellertown, ended, according to his LinkedIn page.

Although the news release doesn’t name the medical practice where Harrah worked, it says it is located on Kichline Avenue in Hellertown.

The offices of Meyer, a dermatologist, are located at 32 Kichline Avenue, and are the only medical offices on the street.

Police said the charges against Harrah have been filed in District Court 03-2-04 in Lower Saucon Township.
