Hellertown Police Friday released more information about a raid they carried out on a home at 39 Kiernan Avenue Thursday; a raid which led to the arrest of a man and woman on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

In a news release, police said that after serving the home’s occupants with a valid search warrant, inside they found and seized loosely packaged heroin with an approximate street value of $1,000, “packaging materials conducive with the sale of heroin,” multiple digital scales, $112 in cash, a loaded handgun “and other paraphernalia items indicative of the usage of both heroin and marijuana.”

Elizabeth Julianna Mansfeld, 33, and Ian John Munz, 35, both of 39 Kiernan Avenue, Hellertown are charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-heroin, misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police and court records, which indicated they were both committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 straight bail.

According to Northampton County Property records, Mansfeld is a co-owner of the home.
