A Lower Saucon Township woman is charged with a dog law violation for allegedly failing to keep her canine confined to her property last month, township police said in a news release Thursday.

According to police, Tammy Jiminez, of the 3500 block of Old Philadelphia Pike, was charged under the township’s ordinance with Confinement of Animals, following an investigation by a state dog warden.

Police said Jiminez’s dog allegedly came off her property, chased and then bit a 7-year-old neighbor boy who was riding his bike in the area of her home April 26.

The boy’s mother took him to a hospital for treatment and he was later released, police said.
