William O. Billig, 83, of Lower Saucon Township, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of Alice J. (Strauss) Billig. He was born in Summit Hill on Aug. 20, 1933 to the late Howard and Aulene (Miller) Billig. William served our country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a photo engraver at the former Bethlehem Globe-Times for 34 years until his retirement.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 59 years; children: William Orville Billig (Lori L.) of Hellertown, Bethann Poehler of East Earl; grandchildren: Chris, Sean, Alicia, Erica, Haley, Tye, Giovanna; great-grandchildren: Kailey, Caiden, Madelyne, Madden, Kelllan, Braylen, Zach and Seth.
SERVICE
The service will be private at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
