Lower Saucon Township Police Saturday said a Steel City man has been charged with criminal mischief, after he allegedly kicked and caused nearly $750 in damage to a door at his residence.

In a news release, police said Scott Pittius, of the 2000 block of Schwab Avenue, was sitting in his yard and showed “multiple signs of intoxication” when officers arrived in response to a report of an “unwanted guest” shortly after 5 p.m. June 7.

“It was learned that Scott does live at the residence, but is not welcome when he is intoxicated,” which was why Pittius was locked out of the home and allegedly attempted to kick the door in, police said.
