Edward Ernest Kardos, 79, of Lower Saucon Township, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at Westin Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Hellertown. He was the husband of Caroline Louise Wagner Kardos. He was born in Hellertown on May 18, 1938 to the late Alex and Verna (Gorza) Kardos. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during peacetime. He worked as a heavy-duty mechanic at the former Bethlehem Steel for 42 years, retiring in 1995. Edward was a member of St. Luke’s Old Williams Lutheran Church, Hellertown.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 56 years; sons: Randy E., Scott J. (Jill D. Hart), all of Hellertown; sister: Elizabeth Moretz in Florida; grandchildren: Mackenzie L. and Zakary A. He was predeceased by several siblings.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 1 p.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
