A Bethlehem motorist was cited after Lower Saucon Township Police say he allegedly missed the stop sign at Colesville and Black River Road, crossed over Black River Road and ended up in a field.

In a news release issued Monday, police said it was determined that the accident occurred when Nolan Alexander, 43, allegedly missed the stop sign after taking his eyes off the road shortly before 3 p.m. Sept. 13.

Alexander was also found to be driving with a suspended license, police said.

In addition to being cited for that and a stop sign violation police said Alexander was also cited for speeding.
