A Hellertown man is charged with simple assault after police say he allegedly hurt his mother during a domestic dispute Sunday evening.
In a news release issued Wednesday police said Brian S. Solomon, 59, of the 300 block of Main Street, allegedly assaulted the woman by grabbing both of her wrists, “causing swelling and bruising.”
After being arrested and arraigned police said Solomon was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Preliminary hearings in the case are scheduled for Sept. 29 and Oct. 3 in district court in Lower Saucon Township, according to court records.
