Saucon Valley Girls Tennis Team Celebrates Senior Day

The Saucon Valley varsity girls tennis team held Senior Day before their match Thursday, at which four seniors–Meghan Altemose, Ashley Bedner, Hannah Inglez and Shannon Williams–were recognized for their contributions to the team.

“We unfortunately lost the match 3-2 against Notre Dame-Green Pond,” coach Joann Ochse reported. However, Meghan Altemose won her match at second singles 6-1, 6-1.

Saucon’s second doubles team made up of junior Olivia Williams and sophomore Anna Inglis also won 6-1, 6-0.

“The team will be finishing their regular season play next Wednesday,” Ochse said. “The girls are looking forward to District play starting on Monday, Oct. 2 at Lehigh University.”
