To help fill a void in the growing market for lodging in the area, two new hotels will soon open in the area of the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Center Valley.

Lehigh Valley Business reported last month that construction of the five-story SpringHill Suites by Marriott in the Stabler Corporate Center at Rt. 309 and Center Valley Parkway is in its final stages, with the hotel expected to open in mid-December. The hotel’s website states that it will open in January 2018.

Online reservations are currently being accepted from Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 onward.

The developer of the 132-suite hotel, High Hotels Ltd., is also proposing construction of a standalone restaurant next door, which would begin in a year or two if plans are ultimately approved by Upper Saucon Township, according to the article.

Among the amenities SpringHill Suites Allentown-Bethlehem-Center Valley will offer, according to the hotel website, will be an on-site restaurant, a business center, a fitness center, a pool, meeting and event space, the use of a Certified Meeting Planner and free high-speed Internet.

Just down the road and directly across from the Promenade Shops, a five-story Homewood Suites by Hilton is also under construction along Center Valley Parkway.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Allentown-Bethlehem-Center Valley is shown on Oct. 1 under construction along Center Valley Parkway, across from The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Upper Saucon Township, on a piece of land that was formerly part of the Center Valley Club golf course. The new hotel catering to business travelers is expected to open in early December, a couple of months before the nearby SpringHill Suites by Marriott Allentown-Bethlehem-Center Valley.

According to that hotel’s website, Homewood Suites by Hilton Allentown-Bethlehem-Center Valley “will soon be joining the Hilton Portfolio of Brands and is presently accepting reservations for arrival Dec. 4, 2017 and beyond.”

Homewood Suites, 3350 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley, will offer travelers a variety of studio and one-bedroom suites, all with a fully-equipped kitchen.

“You’ll find enough space for work, study or entertaining; plus all the comforts of home including two remote control HDTVs, complimentary WiFi and two phones with voicemail,” a description states.

Guests will also “enjoy a complimentary hot full breakfast seven days a week, and evening dinner and drinks, served Monday through Thursday,” it states. The drinks will only be available to guests of legal drinking age, subject to state and local laws.

Homewood Suites will offer guests the use of an indoor pool, a fitness room, meeting rooms and conference space for up to 700 corporate attendees or 525 wedding guests, according to the website.

Both hotels are located close to numerous corporate office centers as well as the I-78 interchange at Rt. 145 and are expected to appeal to business travelers.
