The 2017 Little Panther Youth Football regular season come to a close.

Saturday, all four levels (Flags, 90s, 110s and 130s) of the Saucon Valley Little Panthers took the field in the regular season finale of Colonial Youth Football League against the Palisades Pirates. And, CONGRATULATIONS to all Saucon Valley teams for qualifying for the playoffs this year!

This season the Saucon Valley youth coaches are, once again, going to recognize the efforts of their boys and girls as they participate in the football and cheerleading experience. Saucon Source is proud to be partnering with the coaches to share the kids’ successes this season with you!

Football will recognize a player or players every week with a “Panther Pride” recognition award. The cheer coaches will choose deserving girls and identify them with a “Panther Spirit” award.

The recognition of the kids can relate to anything from effort or enthusiasm to the acknowledgement of a great performance. Maybe the award will be for being a good teammate or volunteering their time. It can be for any number of positive things.

The recognition is a fun and special way for the coaches to show their appreciation for the hard work and dedication the boys and girls invest in the football and cheer programs.

Let’s get fired up!

FLAGS

Game Summary:   Led by Xander Farkas, Taylor Rohn, Zach Henn and Daniel DeTello, the Flag team ended the season with an awesome game against the Palisades Pirates.  These four powerful Panthers have played well all season and did so once again versus the Pirates.  Xander had a nice TD run and played great on defense.  Taylor Rohn had another big day scoring three touchdowns.  Zach, who is usually a force blocking up front, also found the end-zone with a score.   Daniel has been great from the center position all year providing snaps to our quarterback and then making great blocks.  He did so again on Saturday. Daniel also had a little fun running the ball this week! This was an impressive offensive showing and the defense was equally up to the task keeping the Pirates scoreless.

It was another great team effort and everyone had a great year!  Great job, guys!

Ty Pfizenmayer and Connor Nicholas each added a score while Travis Riefenstahl ran and threw for a couple of extra-points.  Defensively, Pfizenmayer, Julien Newhart and Mason Beckowski led a swarming defense.  It was another total TEAM effort!
