Panther Play of the Week: Csicsek Beats Pirates Deep (Brought to You by Hellertown Bakery)

Usually, the Saucon Valley Panthers have no shortage of highlight plays for us to share.  In Friday nights loss, however, the Panthers were held to only 244 yards of total offense.  Defensively, Saucon Valley gave up a few big plays that led to thirty-three Pirate points.  Nonetheless, here is a little silver lining for the Panther faithful!

Ian Csicsek (#28), playing tight-end in the absence of Patrick Morrissey, breaks the huddle to line-up as the end man on the line of scrimmage on the Panther right side.  At the snap of the ball, Wolfe flashes a little run fake to tailback Zach Petiet which gets the Palisades safeties to bite.  Csicsek, after a little hesitation to help sell the run fake, hits the accelerator and splits the safeties down the middle of the field.  Wolfe throws a strike to hit Csiscsek in stride who makes a beautiful over-the-shoulder grab.  Palisades’ Trey Gretzinger was able to catch Csicsek at the 2-yardline, but the Panthers would score the next play.

Good Luck Panthers, the Source is with you!
