The 2017 Little Panther Youth Football teams are playoff bound!

Saturday, the 90s, 110s and 130s of the Saucon Valley Little Panthers all took the field in the first round of Colonial Youth Football League playoffs.  The 90s and 130s played at Dimmick Park while the 110’s hit the road to Southern Lehigh.

This season the Saucon Valley youth coaches are, once again, going to recognize the efforts of their boys and girls as they participate in the football and cheerleading experience. Saucon Source is proud to be partnering with the coaches to share the kids’ successes this season with you!

Football will recognize a player or players every week with a “Panther Pride” recognition award. The cheer coaches will choose deserving girls and identify them with a “Panther Spirit” award.

The recognition of the kids can relate to anything from effort or enthusiasm to the acknowledgement of a great performance. Maybe the award will be for being a good teammate or volunteering their time. It can be for any number of positive things.

The recognition is a fun and special way for the coaches to show their appreciation for the hard work and dedication the boys and girls invest in the football and cheer programs.

Let’s get fired up!

90 POUNDERS

Game Summary: The Panther 90’s season came to an end with a 27-0 loss to top-seeded Northern Lehigh.  Great job guys we look forward to next year. We are Panther-Proud of you!

110 POUNDERS

Game Summary: The 110’s earned a BIG 29-25 win over the Southern Lehigh Spartans.  The victory was, in part, due to big holes opened by Phoenix Walser all game long.  Walser’s blocking helped Andrew Gilbert get some big yardage rushing up the middle.  Defensively, Gino Deren was able to step up late for the Panthers and grab a key interception that sealed the deal for the Panthers.  The 110’s advance in the playoffs to take on the Little Roughies of Catasauqua!

  •  Panther Pride: Gino Deren, Andrew Gilbert and Phoenix Walser

110 Pride Guys Phoenxi Walser (#45), Andrew Gildert (#3) and Gino Deren (#33)

130 POUNDERS

Game Summary:  The Panther 130’s started a little slow but finished with a big ROAR on their way to a 37-18 victory over the Northwestern Lehigh Black.  It was a great effort by the offensive line allowing Josh Torres to have a monster game with five TD’s on only eight carries.  In addition, Constantine Donahue added a 50-yard touchdown score on a well-executed counter trap.  The defense was led by the hard hitting of Ty Pfizenmayer and Aaron Brunnell.  It was a solid all-around victory and great teamwork by all players.  The 130’s advance to the semifinal round next weekend against the Northwestern Lehigh Gold.

  •  Panther Pride: It was another Team effort!
