St. Theresa School in Hellertown hosted a breakfast for family members of students who are veterans or active-duty military Monday.

Seventh grader Mason, sixth grader Landon and fourth grader Ashton Beckowski with their grandfather, Cpl. Edward Beckowski, who served in the U.S. Marines.
Forty St. Theresa students and 25 veterans and active-duty military members attended breakfast and a ceremony that was filled with gratitude for local veterans.
Student council president Alex Dillon and vice president Colin Griffith each addressed the veterans at the breakfast, where morning introductions were made by Mrs. Tice and Father Tauber. A prayer recitation was led by veteran Deacon Gerald Schmidt.
The breakfast concluded with a performance of patriotic songs sung by first and second grade students and a presentation of thank you cards to all veterans.
St. Theresa School is a pre-kindergarten through eighth grade Catholic school celebrating its 78th year of providing a Catholic-centered education consistent with the educational mission of the Church. The school emphasizes learning basic skills through a blend of traditional and current creative teaching methods and the use of current technology. A caring faculty and supportive parents and parishioners foster the spiritual, intellectual and emotional growth of the whole child.
