James V. Darrow, 65, of Hilltown Township (Obituary Brought to You by Heintzelman Funeral Home)

James V. Darrow, 65, of Hilltown Township, formerly of Hellertown, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Doylestown Hospital. He was born in Norwalk, Conn., on May 24, 1952 to Anne (Spadea) Combs of Berlin and the late Enrico Tomaso. James served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, where he trained dogs in the military police. He graduated from Moravian College with a degree in accounting. James worked as a self-employed accountant. He was a member of Tinicum United Church of Christ, Pipersville, and Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, Hellertown. James enjoyed playing recreational soccer and baseball in Italy as well as here in the States.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his mother; daughters: Shaina of Hilltown Township and Theresa Mengel of Longswamp Township; stepson: Ian Mirth of Easton; stepdaughter: Morgan Mirth of Philadelphia; siblings: Ann of Doylestown, Enrico of Upper Black Eddy, Richard of Schellsburg, Charles of Jersey Shore and Scott of Honey Grove.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment with military honors will conclude services at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
