Bethlehem Man Fled Police, Crashed in Hellertown, Police Say
A 38-year-old Bethlehem man is facing charges including Fleeing or Attempting to Elude an Officer after Hellertown police say he allegedly fled an attempted traffic stop and crashed his vehicle.

A 38-year-old Bethlehem man is facing charges including Fleeing or Attempting to Elude an Officer after Hellertown police say he allegedly fled an attempted traffic stop and crashed his vehicle.
In a news release issued Monday, police said Benjamin Estrada, of the 200 block of Crest Avenue, was observed operating a vehicle with expired inspection and emissions stickers in the area of Harwi and West Water streets around 10:30 a.m. Oct. 7.
After being directed to pull over, police said Estrada “fled in his vehicle in an attempt to elude police.”
After crashing, police said Estrada fled on foot before being apprehended.
Upon his apprehension police said he was also found to have a suspended driver’s license.
Estrada is also charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and reckless driving, with charges to be filed in District Court 03-2-04 in Lower Saucon Township, according to the news release.
