Katherine Cuono, 92, of West Bangor, passed away, Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of Teribio Cuono.

Katherine Cuono, 92, of West Bangor, passed away, Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of Teribio Cuono.Katherine Cuono They would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on Dec. 26, 2018. Born in Bangor on March 14, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Josep (Carescia) Cerino. Prior to retiring, she was employed by various garment mills in the Slate Belt area. Katherine was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary parish, Pen Argyl, and a member of the former St. Rochs Catholic Church, West Bangor. She was also a member of the Slate Belt Senior Citizens and UNITE. Katherine was a loving bride, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and bake for her family, and most importantly, she had faith and trust in Jesus.

In addition to her husband Teribio, she is survived by three daughters: Priscilla M. deLeon and her husband Leon of Lower Saucon Township, Briedella M. Fehr and her husband Dennis of Pen Argyl and Lori T. Imparato and her husband Edward of Cheyney, Pa.; four grandchildren: Myra Fehr, Krista Evans and her husband Jason, Edward Imparato Jr., and Tresa Imparato and her husband Harold Benjamin Keiser; and six great-grandchildren: Brian, William, Katherine, James, Ella and Madelynn Evans. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers: Leonard, Anthony, Vito, Michael, Carl, Nunzio, Joseph, Phillip, Gus and Thomas, and a sister Mary.

SERVICES

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Rochs Catholic Church, Verona Avenue, Pen Argyl, with Rev. Monsignor Vincent P. York celebrating. There will be viewing hours Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Ruggiero Funeral Home LLC, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl. Interment will be in St. Roch’s Cemetery, West Bangor.
