Twelve Days of Panther Football Record Holders: Christian ‘Mongo’ Alling

On the eighth day of showcasing Panther football record holders in 2018, Saucon Source is proud to recognize senior, Christian Alling.

Wearing #33, this All-League linebacker is listed at 6’1″, 195. Mongo is a proven playmaker and has earned himself a lengthy list of accolades. He is 5th in Career Tackle Assists (87), 6th in Career Solo Tackles (101), 8th in Career Kickoff Yards (1,134), 9th in Career Sacks (5), 10th in Career Interceptions (4) and 13th in Longest Run from Scrimmage (75 yards).

Who’s #1 with Career Tackle Assists?  Christian Carvis (2012-2015) had 129 Tackle Assists in his career.

Who’s #1 with Career Solo Tackles?  Ian Gimbar (2007-2010) had 225 Solo Tackles throughout his Saucon Valley career.

Who’s #1 in Career Kickoff Yards?  Josh Snead (2013-2016) had 6,563 Career Kicking Yards.

Who’s #1 in Career Sacks?  Before the 2018 season ended, Mike Kane (2012-2015) had 12 Career Sacks for the Panthers.

Who’s #1 in Career Interceptions?  Alstan Wolfe (2014-2017) had 15 Career Interceptions.

Who’s #1 for Long Run from Scrimmage?  Nick Savant had a 94-yard touchdown run for Saucon Valley in 2013.

Coach Sams said it:  “Christian was another one of our captains for the 2018 season.  He earned this from the coaching staff and his peers.  Christian was a leader because of his physical play and the fact that he was a good teammate to everyone on the team.  In 2017 Christian had an excellent junior season as a linebacker and fullback.  He got robbed of league recognition.  In 2018 he earned a 1st team selection at linebacker. Christian will be missed for a long time in this program  “
