Members of the Felony Lane Gang Task Force say the woman pictured in this bank drive-up surveillance photo is believed to be a member of the Felony Lane Gang, and fraudulently cashed a check at a southeastern Pennsylvania Santander bank branch on Oct. 9, 2018. On the same day, a crime that appears to fit the modus operandi of others committed by members of the Felony Lane Gang was committed by an unidentified man in Lower Saucon Township. Police said they believe the woman pictured above may have been wearing a blonde wig at the time this image was captured. She was also driving a white Volkswagen Atlas SUV with an unknown registration. The case may be related to one from Nov. 28, according to the task force. Anyone with information about her identity is asked to contact Det. Aaron Szulborski of the Manheim Borough Police Department at 717-665-2481, ext. 105, or sz******@po****.us.

An area police department is warning residents about a loosely-knit group of criminals known as the “Felony Lane Gang,” who law enforcement officials believe have been active recently in parts of the Lehigh Valley, southeastern Pennsylvania and central New Jersey.

The Hilltown Township Police Department Friday specifically told residents that if they frequent gyms or daycares they should take extra precautions in order to safeguard their vehicles and property inside them.

“Criminal enterprises, commonly referred to as the Felony Lane Gang, take advantage of these types of establishments because people frequently leave their wallet or purse inside their vehicle,” Hilltown Township police said in a post published on their Crimewatch site.

“These criminals don’t hesitate to smash the window glass to obtain entry to your vehicle, either. This group is also known to steal license plates from vehicles in a effort to avoid identification,” they added.

According to Hilltown Township police, the Felony Lane Gang’s members are typically “active during the day, specifically in the morning, late afternoon and early evening.”

Police suggest that when individuals visit an establishment such as a gym or a daycare facility, they secure their valuables in the trunk of their car or leave them at another secure location prior to arriving at their destination.

“If possible, don’t bring these items with you at all,” police said. “Just keep your driver’s license and maybe a credit card in the case of an emergency.”

“If you take your valuables into the gym, be sure to lock them inside a locker,” they added. “We also suggest keeping your car keys on your person at all times versus hanging them on a key board.”

Hilltown Township police said “neighboring jurisdictions have experienced an increase in this type of criminal activity,” and that anyone whose vehicle is broken into or whose license plate is stolen should notify their local police department immediately.

Although it is unknown if any criminal activity that has recently taken place at Saucon Valley establishments could be connected to the Felony Lane Gang, in October Lower Saucon Township Police said they hoped to identify a man who smashed the passenger window of a vehicle at Maxx Fitness on Rt. 378, stole a purse from inside it, and then fraudulently used a credit card that was in the purse to buy shoes at a South Bethlehem shop.

Township police said the theft occurred on the afternoon of Oct. 9, which is the same day members of the Felony Lane Gang Task Force say a woman or perhaps several women “cashed checks from multiple victims at multiple Santander Bank branches…in Doylestown, Hatfield, North Wales, Allentown and Emmaus, Pennsylvania.”
