Less than a day after police announced that a Saucon Valley student had been charged as a juvenile for allegedly making threats against the high school in a Snapchat video, the district has reportedly alerted parents to another threat.
According to a source, an automated call went out to parents Wednesday evening alerting them to an alleged threat against students and teachers that was identified via the Safe2Say Something anonymous tipline, which was made available by the state attorney general’s office to Pennsylvania schools earlier this year.
Local law enforcement authorities as well as the parents of the student who allegedly made the threat have been notified, according to the phone message reported by the source, and the student will not be in school Thursday.
In the earlier case, police said the student who allegedly made threats against the high school pointed a rifle at a camera in a video that was shared via the popular social media app.
