A popular restaurant franchise known for its tropical fruit bowls, exotic smoothies and island-themed decor will open a location in The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Center Valley this fall.

The Promenade Shops Playa Bowls will be the third Lehigh Valley store for local franchisees Jim and Susan Dale, the Morning Call reported Wednesday.

The other two shops owned by the Dales are located in South Bethlehem and downtown Easton, and opened in late 2017.

According to the Morning Call story, poke bowls made with ingredients such as ahi tuna, wild Gulf shrimp, seaweed and mango will also be on the menu when the new Playa Bowls location opens in a yet-to-be-determined space in the shopping center.

Playa Bowls is currently hiring “Playa Babes and Bros” (company lingo for female and male employees) to work mornings, evenings and weekends, according to an Instagram post from Tuesday. Anyone interested in a job should visit the Playa Bowls store at 310 E. 3rd St., Bethlehem, to fill out an application.
