Drexel University and Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) have entered into an agreement to streamline the process for LCCC students to transfer to the Philadelphia school.

The partnership agreement will make it easier for eligible LCCC graduates to continue their higher education at Drexel.

“Engineering students from LCCC will be able to enter any of the 10 Drexel Engineering programs,” a news release said. “And, any LCCC graduate with an associate degree can enter the Drexel General Studies program.”

LCCC graduates can also benefit from the Drexel Promise scholarship program begun last year, which provides a 50 percent tuition scholarship to eligible community college graduates. To be eligible, students must be enrolled full-time at Drexel, take courses on-campus and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA for a maximum of 12 academic quarters.
