Dwight Dwain Ernst (1952 – 2025)

Dwight Dwain Ernst, 72, of Hellertown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025.Dwight Ernst Obituary Born on Nov. 10, 1952, in Bethlehem, Pa., he was a son of the late Maynard and Betty (Schlicher) Ernst. Dwight worked as a manager for Weldship Corporation in Hellertown and Bethlehem for over 40 years until retiring in 2018. Dwight was a devoted father whose children were his pride. He was a gentle soul who cherished time with his children and family. We were fortunate to have him as a father and cherish all of the memories he left us. He spent his early years dedicated to his parents and their family farm, even as he began to grow his own family. Throughout his life he touched the lives of countless others with kindness and wisdom. His silence could be deafening, but his actions spoke louder than his words. His legacy of kindness towards those in need will never be forgotten. Dwight enjoyed a passion for all that is FORD; his prize possession was his 1947 Ford truck that he restored with his son Noah. He also donated religiously to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation his whole life, in honor of his son Adam. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who have reached out with their love, support and condolences during this challenging time. Your kind words, memories and gestures have provided us with solace and strength. We are forever grateful. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his light continue to guide us through the darkest moments.
