Ethel M. Israel (1930 – 2025)

Ethel M. Israel, 94, formerly of Hellertown, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 at Cedarbrook-Fountain Hill Annex. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Israel, who passed in 1978. Ethel was born in Weatherly on May 6, 1930 to the late Alexander and Emma (Craigle) Panckeri. She worked at Tung-Sol Lamp Works Inc., Weatherly, but was a homemaker the majority of her life. She was a long-term family caregiver for Dr. Gavin Barr’s family. Ethel was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

Ethel is survived by her sons: Richard W. (Sherry) Israel of Bethlehem, Robert F. (Jeanne) Israel of Hellertown, Randy L. (Jennifer) Israel of Hellertown; grandchildren: Craig (Shanna), Marc (Molly), Todd (Erin), Cory, Bryan, Ben and Sophia; great-grandchildren: Liam, Laila, Cora, Bryn, Gideon, Sloane, Ryder. She was predeceased by a son: Ronald L. Israel in 1992; siblings: Alburtis, Alexander, James, Paul, Henry, Daniel, Rachael, Frederick Panckeri.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to her visitation period from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The visitation period will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ethel’s name may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the American Cancer Society.
