2 Men Arrested Following ‘Suspicious Vehicle’ Stop: Police

Lower Saucon Township Police say two men wanted on charges by other law enforcement agencies were arrested following a suspicious vehicle stop in the 1500 block of E. Raders Lane Monday night.

According to posts published on the department’s Crimewatch website Tuesday, one of the men was identified as 62-year-old James E. Fisher of Palmerton, who police said was a passenger in the vehicle.

Police said Fisher provided them with two false names and a false date of birth before officers “discovered that he was a fugitive from Pennsylvania State Parole for the past two years.”

Fisher was taken into custody and later arraigned on charges of Arrest Prior to Requisition (Fugitive from Justice), Obstruction of Justice and two counts of False Identification to Law Enforcement, police said.

Court records indicated that he was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing before District Judge Alan Mege on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. in District Court 03-2-04. Records did not list an attorney for Fisher.

Police said the driver of the vehicle in which Fisher was a passenger was identified as 49-year-old James Lee Sena of Palmerton, who they said was taken into custody on a Bucks County bench warrant issued for failure to appear at a criminal proceeding stemming from charges filed in Richland Township.

They said Sena was transported to Northampton County Prison, where court records indicated he was incarcerated as of Tuesday. Sena’s Richland Township case docket did not list any upcoming court dates, but indicated that he is facing felony charges of forgery and access device counterfeiting and is being represented by the Bucks County Public Defender’s office.

Note: All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty. This story was compiled using information from the Lower Saucon Township Police Department and Northampton County court records.
