Leon R. Litz Jr. (1956 – 2025)

Leon R. Litz Jr., 68, of Upper Saucon Township, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Getz) Litz. Leon was born in Allentown on Oct. 16, 1956 to the late Leon R. Sr. and Janet M. (Peters) Litz. He was a printer for Handelock Bag Company, Lansdale, for 30 years until retirement. Leon was an avid bowler, playing at the National Sokols of Bethlehem and softball for St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and Bethlehem City League. He was an accomplished woodcrafter.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 47 years last Oct. 8, Leon is survived by his daughters: Katie L. of Tamaqua, Melanie J. (Michael) Falco in North Carolina; grandchildren: Jessie, Haylee, Aiden, Evelynne; siblings: Peter (Susan) of Bethlehem, Timothy (Pattie) of Dalton, Mass., Steven (Ruth) of Schnecksville; sister-in-law: Dawn P. of Bethlehem. He was predeceased by brother: Terry L.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to his visitation period from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, PA 18055. The visitation period will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at The Union Cemetery of Hellertown. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans immediately following the graveside service.
