Local Gym Closing for Upgrades

An area gym is closing briefly for upgrades this week.

Staff at Planet Fitness at 1740 Stefko Blvd. in Bethlehem have been alerting members to the March 5-8 closure of the facility, which a manager said Friday is to install new cardio equipment. The gym will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 until 7 a.m. Saturday, March 8, while the equipment is installed.

During the two-and-a-half days the gym is closed, Classic and Black Card members will be able to visit the Planet Fitness locations in Easton, Nazareth and Mount Pocono, where the new equipment is already installed. The addresses for those locations are:

Planet Fitness, 859 Nazareth Pike, Nazareth, PA 18064
Planet Fitness, 3236 Rt. 940, Mount Pocono, PA 18344

The Bethlehem location’s regular hours are Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Monday, 5 a.m. to midnight; Friday, midnight to 9 p.m.; and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday it is open 24 hours a day.

Signs have been posted at Planet Fitness on Stefko Boulevard in Bethlehem alerting members to a two-and-a-half day closure, which staff said is for the installation of new cardio equipment.
