Richard DiChiara (1940 – 2025)
Richard DiChiara, 84, of Bethlehem, died Monday, April 14, 2025 at his residence. He was the husband of Michelle J. (Mease) DiChiara. Richard was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 24, 1940 to the late Salvatore and Catherine (Colucci) DiChiara. He was very proud to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during peacetime. Richard was an insurance manager at Guardian Life Insurance Company of New York City and Bethlehem for 44 years until he retired. He was a faithful member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus RC Church, Hellertown, and the Lehigh Valley Yankee Fan Club. He was passionate about fishing, especially on his pontoon boat at Lake Wallenpaupack.

SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 31 years; Richard is survived by their children: Donna M. DiChiara Pouleriguen (Alain) of Boca Raton, Fla., Richard DiChiara Jr. (Lori) of Boca Raton, Fla., Philip DiChiara of Del Mar, Calif., Christopher A. Csensits at home; siblings: Generoso DiChiara of Staten Island, N.Y., Adele (John) Rossano of Jackson, N.J., Diane (Arnold) Waxenbaum of Jackson, N.J.; five grandchildren: Evan, Nicholas, Emilie, Matthew and Stephen; and many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to his visitation period from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025 and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, all at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. Wednesday’s visitation period will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus RC Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. The interment with military honors will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans immediately following the graveside service.
