The options for dining and drinking at the Promenade Saucon Valley are expanding with the announcement Wednesday that a popular Pocono area microbrewery and restaurant will open at the Center Valley shopping center this summer.

Barley Creek Brewing Company, which has a location at the Pocono Premium Outlets in Tannersville, Monroe County, will open Barley Creek Taproom in a unit located between Melt and Kome, a publicist for the Promenade Saucon Valley said.

“Barley Creek has had a great relationship with guests in the Lehigh Valley for nearly 30 years,” said co-founder of Barley Creek Brewing Company Joseph “Trip” Ruvane in a news release. “We have many regulars who drive up to visit our Pocono Mountain locations, as well as those who buy our craft brews, spirits and ready-to-drink cocktails at fine establishments all across Northeast PA, including at nearby Coca-Cola Park. And now we’re thrilled to be bringing our newest Taproom to this truly beautiful and unique setting at Promenade Saucon Valley.”

According to the news release, in addition to a lineup of craft beers and food, Barley Creek’s menu will feature Pennsylvania-made spirits and wines, some of which will be from the company’s brewery and distillery on Sullivan Trail in Tannersville.

The Barley Creek food menu is expected to feature flatbreads, soups, salads, burgers and more.

Promenade Saucon Valley also announced that in conjunction with the opening of Barley Creek Taproom it is expanding its Sip & Shop program, which provides shoppers 21 and older with valid ID with the opportunity to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while shopping at the center.

“Traditional Sip & Shop opportunities have been limited to special events, like Girls Night Out on Saturday May 3 and Party at the Patio which kicks off on June 4,” the release said. “Now, with the addition of Barley Creek Taproom, guests will be able to Sip & Shop year round.”
