Rita’s to Hold Grand Opening in Coopersburg

A new place to grab a sweet frozen treat is celebrating its grand opening in Coopersburg.

Rita’s at 7001 N. Rt. 309, Store #5 will hold an opening celebration for customers this Saturday, May 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. The store held a soft opening last year.

According to a Facebook post by the Southern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, the first 50 guests at Saturday’s event beginning at 4 p.m. will receive free Italian ice for a year.

Guests will also enjoy $2 small Italian ices and $3 small gelatis.

Other event highlights will be face painting, a prize wheel with swag giveaways, a visit by the Ice Guy mascot and a 5 p.m. ribbon-cutting with the chamber.

The new Rita’s franchise is located in the Fairmont Village shopping center, near Carlo’s Pizza and Casa Toro Mexican Grill.

According to the Rita’s website, the Coopersburg store is open daily from 12 to 9 p.m.
