Police: Who Broke Into Ice Cream Shop, Church?
A popular seasonal business was the victim of a burglary early Monday.
According to Hilltown Township Police, the Hickory Stick Ice Cream Shop at 811 Telegraph Road in the Perkasie section of the township was broken into around 4:45 a.m.
Police said the burglar stole $500 in cash from the register before fleeing the scene.

Although it is unknown if the two break-ins are related, police said another burglary was reported around the same time at Pennridge Christian Fellowship Church at 720 Blooming Glen Road in the township’s Blooming Glen section.
Police said that in that case, “the suspect gained access to an area of the church where the safe is located.”
In a post on their Crimewatch site, police shared photos of the suspect and a pick-up truck he may have been driving, which they said is full-sized and possibly two-toned in color.
The owners of Hickory Stick Ice Cream Shop also shared a photo of the suspect in a post on their Facebook page Monday. As of late Monday afternoon it had been shared over 100 times and generated dozens of sympathetic comments.
Anyone with information or who may live near either location and has video surveillance recording equipment is asked to contact Hilltown Township Criminal Investigations at CID@hilltownpd.org.
