LaMar C. Beck (1930 – 2025)

LaMar C. Beck, 95, of Upper Saucon Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Arlene B. (Strauss) Beck, who died May 2, 2018. Born in Bethlehem on July 9, 1930, he was the son of the late Carl and Marguerite (Gehris) Beck. LaMar worked as a machinist and inspector for the former Bethlehem Steel, where he was employed for 42 years until his retirement. He was a dedicated member of Faith United Church of Christ, Center Valley. In his leisure time, he enjoyed tending to his tomato garden, cheering on the Phillies and Eagles, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.

SURVIVORS

He is survived by children: Mary A. Beck and Carol M. Beck, both of Coopersburg, Carl L. Beck and his partner, Shelby, of Exeter Township; grandchildren: Jonathan Beck and his wife, Ashley, and Lindsay Beck and her partner, Tim Plisiewicz; great-grandchildren: Kariana, Addylin, Ashton Beck, Leah, and Emma Plisiewicz; family friends: Dr. Nancy Urankar, Cindy Tyson and Lois Frey. He was predeceased by his son: Ray C. Beck; and siblings: Lawrence, LeRoy and Lucille.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will conclude services at Friedensville Cemetery, Upper Saucon Township.
