Janet Stone (1930 – 2026)

Janet Stone, 95, of Easton, and more recently of Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown, passed away on Feb. 15, 2026. She was born on July 17, 1930, in Wilson Borough, Pa., one of 15 children born to the late Fred and Minnie (Campbell) Troxell. Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William R. Stone, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage. Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She took great pride in caring for her home, creating a warm and welcoming household for those she loved. Earlier in life, she enjoyed baking and bowling; pursuits that reflected both her warmth and her steady nature. She was an avid Penn State University football fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her team. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy.

SURVIVORS

She will be dearly missed by her son, Stephen Stone, and his wife, Laurel; her grandchildren, Andrew Stone, Connor Stone (Kasey), Laura Choromanski (Steve) and Josh Frankenfield; as well as her great-grandchildren, Anna Emerich, and William, and Angelo Choromanski; and her sister, Minnie. Janet was predeceased by her daughter, Judy Frankenfield, and her siblings.
