Tickets are now on sale for the first-ever Saucon Harvest Festival–a one-day fundraiser for Saucon youth sports that will be held Saturday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Hellertown’s Dimmick Park.

The festival–which is being presented by South Italy Imports and the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber–will feature a wine/food/beer VIP tasting area, live bands, children’s activities, food at the pavilion, a beer truck and a 5K race in the morning.

Tickets for the 5K are $30 each. That price includes registration, a complimentary drink ticket and a t-shirt.

Tickets for the VIP area (for guests 21 and older) are $50 each. And there is a 5K/VIP ticket “bundle” available for $65.

VIP ticket holders will receive 10-15 food samples from local participating restaurants, wine samples provided by South Italy Imports, beer samples provided by Lost Tavern Brewing of Hellertown, and a commemorative t-shirt and glass.

There will also be a college football viewing area located in the VIP area.

Tickets can be purchased via the chamber’s website, and there is also a link to that page on the Facebook page for the harvest festival.

Only 300 VIP tickets will be sold for the event (200 VIP tickets and 100 VIP/5K bundles).

Organizers have estimated that the unique event–which will be held rain or shine–could draw thousands to the park and raise that much for local youth sports organizations.

As of Monday, on Facebook, more than 125 people said they are going to the harvest festival and close to 900 said they’re interested in attending the event.
